Postpartum Core
Rebuilds abdominal strength after pregnancy and childbirth

Total core and pelvic floor strength without surgery, built in relaxed 30-minute sessions with no downtime.
The problem and the plan
Your deep abdominal muscles and your pelvic floor work as one team. They brace your spine when you lift, steady you when you walk and control your bladder when you laugh, cough or jump. Pregnancy, childbirth, prostate surgery, aging, weight changes and long hours of sitting can weaken both groups at once. The result is often a softer midsection, a tired lower back and leaks you plan your day around.
Core to Floor answers that problem with one plan. Emsculpt NEO for core and muscle builds abdominal strength and reduces fat, while Emsella for pelvic floor strength retrains the muscles that support the bladder. You stay fully clothed, there is no recovery time and your progress is tracked by a physician-led team that also treats back pain.
Good to Know
Two FDA-cleared technologies, one plan
Core to Floor is a Ready Pain Management program that combines Emsculpt NEO and Emsella into a single plan for core and pelvic floor strength. Both BTL devices are FDA-cleared. Emsculpt NEO treats the abdomen, buttocks, arms, thighs and calves. Emsella treats the pelvic floor.
Both use HIFEM (high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy) to trigger thousands of strong muscle contractions per session. Emsculpt NEO adds radiofrequency heat to reduce fat. Strength builds over the series and keeps improving for weeks.

Core to Floor suits adults who want a stronger core and better bladder control without surgery. It is a strong fit if you have stress or urge leaks, which our urinary incontinence treatment options page explains in more detail. The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases also offers a helpful overview of bladder control problems.
Dr. Boler reviews your full health history before your first session and will tell you plainly if another option is safer. You can also compare all of our body optimization and muscle strength treatments.
From consultation to maintenance
Dr. Boler reviews your history, goals and bladder or back symptoms, in person or by telemedicine.
Our team places the applicator on your abdomen or buttocks for about 30 minutes of contractions and heat.
You sit fully clothed on the Emsella chair for about 30 minutes while it contracts your pelvic floor.
We check strength and leaks at follow-up, often by telemedicine, and plan maintenance if needed.
What is normal and what to report
Emsculpt NEO and Emsella are non-invasive and well tolerated by most patients. The most common effect is muscle soreness that feels like a hard workout and fades within a day or two. Emsculpt NEO can leave the skin warm, red or tender for a short time. Emsella can cause brief tingling or mild pelvic muscle soreness.
Rare effects include temporary skin irritation, muscle spasm or changes in bowel or bladder habits. Tell our team right away if anything feels sharp or wrong during a session, and we will lower the intensity or stop.
Our team screens every patient for implants, pregnancy and other health conditions first. Trusted bladder control guidance is available from MedlinePlus.

Each device session takes about 30 minutes. Some visits include only Emsculpt NEO or only Emsella, and some include both back to back. A typical series includes about four Emsculpt NEO visits and six Emsella visits over several weeks. Dr. Boler adjusts the number and spacing of visits to your goals and progress.
Most patients describe the sessions as intense but not painful. Emsculpt NEO feels like strong muscle contractions with gentle warmth. Emsella feels like tingling and tightening in the pelvic floor while you sit fully clothed. The intensity is raised slowly and can be lowered at any time if you feel uncomfortable.
Many patients notice changes within the first few weeks. Bladder control often improves partway through the Emsella series, and the abdomen feels firmer after a few Emsculpt NEO visits. Full muscle and fat changes usually show about three months after the series ends. Results vary from person to person.
Most patients benefit from occasional maintenance sessions after the first series, often every few months. Muscles respond to use, so results last longest when you stay active and keep up simple home exercises. We review your progress at follow-up visits, which can be done by telemedicine, and recommend maintenance only if it helps.
Core to Floor is not a replacement for home exercise, but it can do more than Kegels alone for many people. Emsella produces far more pelvic floor contractions per session than most people can do by choice, and Emsculpt NEO adds core strength at the same time. Many patients use both approaches together.
No. Core to Floor is for women and men. Women often join after pregnancy or during menopause. Men often join for core strength, lower back support or bladder control after prostate surgery. Active adults who want a stronger center also enroll. Dr. Boler reviews your health history to confirm the program fits you.
Core to Floor may help support your lower back, but it is not a treatment for spine disease. Stronger abdominal muscles help brace the spine during daily movement. If back pain is your main concern, Dr. Boler will first evaluate the cause and may combine the program with other pain treatments.
Most women wait until they are cleared by their obstetric provider after delivery. Timing depends on how you delivered, whether you are healing well and whether you are breastfeeding. Dr. Boler reviews your history at the consultation and helps you decide when to begin. Pregnancy itself is a reason to wait.
Treatment is performed in person at our Gulf Breeze office because both devices are in the clinic. Your consultation and follow-up visits can be done by telemedicine. Telemedicine visits are offered Monday and Tuesday evenings, and in-person treatment visits are offered Thursday and Friday.
