Abdomen
Builds core muscle and reduces belly fat for a firmer, stronger midsection

Non-invasive body contouring and muscle building in one treatment.
Two layers, one treatment
Muscle mass naturally declines with age, and it can drop faster during weight loss, injury recovery or long stretches of inactivity. Less muscle often means a softer midsection, weaker hips and a back that tires easily. Stubborn fat on the abdomen and flanks can stay put even with diet and exercise. For many adults in their 40s, 50s and 60s, the result is a body that looks and feels less capable than they want it to.
Emsculpt NEO treats both layers at once. Radiofrequency heats fat cells until many are permanently damaged, and the body clears them over the following weeks. HIFEM energy then contracts the muscle underneath thousands of times per session, building strength and tone. Because our care is physician-directed, we can pair it with nutrition, medical weight management or recovery care, so body contouring supports the way you move, not only the way you look.
Good to Know
Radiofrequency and HIFEM working together
Emsculpt NEO is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive body sculpting device made by BTL. It combines synchronized radiofrequency and HIFEM energy in one applicator to strengthen and tone muscle and reduce fat in areas such as the abdomen, buttocks, arms, thighs and calves. Device clearances are listed in the FDA 510(k) database.
You lie on a treatment table while the applicator is strapped in place. Radiofrequency warms the muscle and fat, then HIFEM pulses cause deep, intense contractions. It feels like a hard workout with warmth. In a sham-controlled trial, the combined approach reduced fat and increased muscle on MRI, and results keep building for weeks after the final session.
Six areas we treat most often
Builds core muscle and reduces belly fat for a firmer, stronger midsection
Targets the fat along the sides of the waist that diet often misses
Strengthens and lifts the glutes, which support the hips and lower back
Tones the front and back of the thighs for steadier stairs and squats
Firms the biceps and triceps and reduces soft tissue on the upper arms
Builds calf strength and shape that support walking and balance
Function and shape together
Strong contractions increase muscle tone and strength in treated areas
Radiofrequency heat targets stubborn fat that resists diet and exercise
Return to work, errands or the gym right after your session
Each visit fits a lunch break, with no needles, surgery or anesthesia
A stronger core and glutes can support posture, balance and movement
Helps preserve muscle during a medical weight management program

Emsculpt NEO suits adults who want to build strength and refine their shape without surgery, especially those who are already active or working on their weight with medical support.
Emsculpt NEO is not a weight loss treatment. If weight is your main goal, our medical weight management program is a better first step, and our guide on how to keep muscle while losing weight explains why muscle matters.
For bladder leaks or a weak pelvic floor, add Emsella for pelvic floor strength. Many patients combine both devices in the Core to Floor program, and active adults recovering from sports injuries or ongoing back pain often ask how core strength can help.
About 30 minutes, start to finish
Dr. Boler reviews your goals, health history and implants, then chooses the areas that best fit your plan.
Our team positions you on the table and straps the applicator over the area. No numbing is needed.
For 30 minutes you feel warmth, then strong contractions. Intensity rises only as you are comfortable.
Most patients complete four sessions about a week apart, with progress reviewed in person or by telemedicine.
What is normal and what to report
Emsculpt NEO is non-invasive and generally well tolerated. Common effects are temporary: muscle soreness similar to a strong workout, warmth or redness of the skin, and mild tenderness in the treated area. These usually fade within a day or two.
Some people notice brief firmness or tenderness in the treated fat layer that settles on its own. Tell our team right away if the applicator ever feels too hot, and the setting will be adjusted.
The device uses electromagnetic and radiofrequency energy, so it is not used over pacemakers, electronic implants or metal implants, or during pregnancy. Dr. Boler screens your health history at the consultation. The FDA medical devices center explains how devices like this are cleared.

Each Emsculpt NEO session takes 30 minutes. You lie on a treatment table while the applicator works on the chosen area, and you can rest, read or talk with our team. There is no numbing, no recovery period and no need to change your plans afterward, so many patients come in on a lunch break.
Emsculpt NEO is not usually painful, but it is intense. You feel warmth from the radiofrequency and strong, rhythmic muscle contractions, similar to a hard workout. Our team starts at a lower intensity and raises it as you are comfortable. Mild muscle soreness for a day or two afterward is common.
Most patients feel firmer muscles within a few weeks of starting their series. Fat reduction and muscle growth continue for weeks after treatment, with the full effect usually seen about three months after the last session. Results vary with age, body composition, nutrition and activity level.
A typical Emsculpt NEO series is four sessions spaced about a week apart for each treatment area. Dr. Boler may suggest a different plan based on your goals and health. Some patients choose occasional maintenance sessions later to help keep their results, which we discuss at follow-up visits.
Yes. Emsculpt NEO is a form of non-invasive body sculpting, and it stands out because it builds muscle as well as reducing fat. Many body contouring treatments only target fat. Emsculpt NEO works on both layers in the same session, which is why we use it for strength and function goals as well as shape.
Ready Pain Management offers physician-led body contouring near you at 1337 Country Club Rd in Gulf Breeze, FL. We see patients from Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, Navarre, Milton and across Santa Rosa and Escambia County. Emsculpt NEO sessions are in person, and consultations can be done by telemedicine.
Emsculpt NEO builds muscle and reduces fat, while fat freezing only reduces fat. Fat freezing uses cold to destroy fat cells and can leave temporary numbness. Emsculpt NEO uses heat and muscle contractions in 30-minute sessions with no downtime. Dr. Boler can help you decide which approach fits your goals best.
Women and men, often in their 30s to 60s, who are near a stable weight and want firmer muscle, less stubborn fat and a stronger core are good candidates. It also suits patients losing weight who want to protect lean muscle. People with pacemakers, metal implants in the area or pregnancy are not candidates.
Emsculpt NEO can help build and preserve muscle during weight loss, but it is not a weight loss treatment on its own. Many patients pair it with medical weight management, enough protein and strength training. Dr. Boler can build a plan that protects lean muscle while you work toward a healthier weight.
Yes. Your Emsculpt NEO consultation and follow-up visits can be done by telemedicine, which helps patients in Navarre, Milton, Pensacola and beyond. The treatment sessions themselves are performed in person at our Gulf Breeze office on Thursdays and Fridays. Telemedicine also runs Monday and Tuesday evenings.
